Woodland Project
17 November 2006
| Lismore primary school children have been out and about in the woodlands collecting facts, figures and samples of what grows in Lismore and where. | ||
| Their explorations were all part of their one month woodland project and they told us all about it at a special presentation. They were impressed with the magic of the woodland even though Lismore has been somewhat stripped since the days when the entire island was wooded. |
After they had shared their research they each read a woodland inspired poem and finally Eilidh Willis and John Carmichael gave a power point presentation which rounded off the afternoon just in time for tea

During their weekly hobby sessions the children have been making some very attractive Christmas cards which were in great demand and they were also collecting old shoes for the Blue Peter Shoebiz appeal for Malawi.
