The hall was packed on Christmas Eve for fun, games, food and Santa’s visit. As well as the local children there were many visitors staying with relations for the festive season.

Ann Livingstone, the host, soon had them all up joining in the action songs as well as pinning tails on donkeys and passing the parcel.

Father Christmas arrived dripping with snow, ringing his bell and spreading excitement with every ho-ho. His sacks of presents were opened with due ceremony and great anticipation. Not one was disappointed.
