Lismore School Year Ends

29 June 2005

The children were captivated when Anna MacCorquodale, a former music teacher at Lismore Primary School visited with her guide dog.  They watched in wrapt attention as she put the dog through her paces demonstrating how reliable guide dogs are, and how they totally become their owners' eyes. Many would never have seen a guide dog in action.

Prize giving was held on 29 June and Freda MacGregor reported that they had had an excellent year in the school. They said goodbye to Murray Willis and Kieran McLarney who are going to Oban High School and Joe Derham who is off to Ardnamurchin High School. The previous day was sports’ day which all the children joined in enthusiastically and really enjoyed.

Caroline Willis, a Liossach returning to live in Lismore, has been appointed to the dual position of School Secretary and Classroom Assistant starting in August. Welcome back Caroline.
