Lismore Shinty Team Success
June 2005
The final round of the Oban Area Primary 6-a-side Leagues took place on Sunday the 5th June at a sunny Ganavan.
Rockfield C won the C-League by just two points from Lismore, with both teams only losing 1 game in all three rounds but Lismore had had 2 more draws. Rockfield D managed to make it into 3rd followed by Tralee, Castle Cars and St Columba's C.
Oban Area Coaching Committee chairman Tony Dalgaty presented the trophies and medals to the first and 2nd placed teams, and thanked all the teams for a hard fought but very sporting afternoon of Shinty.
The team consisting of Callum, Colin, Kieran, Connor, John, Murray and Eilidh played very well in all 3 rounds of the tournament, particularly the 2nd round in Taynuilt where they had to contend with torrential rain and lots of midges! A very successful season for the team.
