Birthday Celebration

Anne Livingstone decided to celebrate her husband Duncan’s 70^th birthday with a surprise party inviting friends and well wishers not just from Lismore but from far and wide. Needless to say the Lismore rumour mill meant it was not quite a surprise but Duncan, a Liosach, a crofter and well known for his Gaelic singing, was greatly pleased. The Red Reel Band, on the island for the weekend, joined with the locals in an impromptu ceilidh. After the cutting of the cake, Duncan thanked Anne and all those who had helped to make it a memorable evening.
