Walk for breakthrough Breast Cancer

25 June 2005

The only thing missing on the moonwalk for Breakthrough Breast Cancer was the moon.It did rise spectacularly  but some hours after it was all over. Undeterred a large party from Appin and Lismore set out on a balmy evening from Point and walked to the hall, had light refreshments and then walked back to Point to party until the ferry came to take the Appin contingent home. There was many an ingenious red bra - that being the suggested decoration to drive home the importance of the cause – and at the end of the night Beth Campbell reported that they had raised over £925. As organiser Beth was assisted by Ellen Slingsby.
