Wedding of
Andrew Livingstone and Julie Sandham
27 March 2004

Andrew Livingstone, the youngest son of Dorothy and John
Livingstone of Balure, Lismore, and Julie Sandham of Stratford-on-Avon were
married in the Lismore Church by the Rev John Murdoch.
The sun shone as they left the church to the sounds of the
pipes and walked beneath the guard of honour formed by the local members of the
esteemed order of the pitch forks.
After the ceremony, Julie and Andrew and their guests were
carried to Port Appin on the bunting laden Lismore ferry and from there made the
20 mile journey to Oban in a well polished, white articulated lorry decorated
with ribbons, bows and flowers. This delighted and surprised the happy couple
who knew only that Andy’s friend Peter Barr was fixing the transport, not that
he was employing the services of the Oban based hauliers –C-Fare.
The head turning lorry carried them to the Caledonian Hotel for the reception and later to the dance at the Argyllshire Gathering Halls.
