Lismore Primary Easter Service
1 April 2004
The Rev John Murdoch held an Easter service for the Primary
children to celebrate the end of the Spring Term. Many adults and 2 toddlers
joined them. As well as the communal singing and the Minister’s address, the
children read lessons and poems and the very young ones accompanied “We Have a
King Who Rides a Donkey” with tambourines and a large recorder group were a
spirited accompaniment to “Spirit of God Unseen in the Wind”.
After the service we were all presented with flax crosses
and baskets of eggs the children had made.
Before we adjourned to the Manse for tea and home baking the Minister judged the painted egg competition. All were colourful but the winners were: Primary 1-4 Eoghan Perkins 1 and Aileen Carmichael 2. Primary 5-7 Tess Meddes 1 and Josie Meddes 2.
