The judge thought that all of the children's scarecrows were so good that she couldn't choose between them so both get prizes.

Important dates

21st August 2012 The competition was launched. See here.
13th September 2012 All entries have to be with Hazel by the end of the day. An entry form can be obtained from Hazel or Bob Davies or by clicking here
15th September 2012 All scarecrows will be on display.
16th September 2012

This page will be updated with

  • A map showing the location of all the scarecrows in the competition,
  • Photographs of all the scarecrows and
  • Instructions on how to vote for your favourite scarecrow.

Paper maps and voting forms will be available in the waiting rooms at Point and Achnacroish and at the shop.

22nd September 2012 The scarecrows will be judged by Councillor Elaine Robertson.
This will be the last day when you can vote for your favourite scarecrow.
23rd September 2012 The results of the judging and the vote will be announced.

I think there should have been a prize for Hazel for putting this idea out there! It has been a great attraction for locals and visitors alike and has had a very positive effect on all. Thank you Hazel. xxx
