On the afternoon of Wednesday 28th September, Lismore Primary School children had the opportunity to practise their items for the Oban Mod as part of the school's Informal Presentation Afternoon. The afternoon began with the Scottish Country Dance, "The Flowers of Dunbeg" which the children had been taught by Anne Livingstone. Parents and members of the community were then treated to a selection of solo Gaelic songs interspersed with readings about this term's activities – ranging from skipping and the Green Flag inspection to Outdoor Learning Week. The folk group also sang two songs and all the children performed their action songs about Highland life. Visitors were then served tea, coffee and cakes and were invited to look around the school to view the displays in the classrooms and the work the children have done in the grounds. The enterprising Primary 7 girls ran a raffle and sold potatoes in aid of next year's leavers' trip to Lochgoilhead Adventure Centre.
