Joy Dunlop concert – 17th August 2011

There was a small but very appreciative audience to hear singer Joy Dunlop perform in Lismore hall with fiddle player and cellist Patsy Reid and guitarist Paul Tracey. Joy's soprano voice has a great range and she expressively covered many moods in her Gaelic song selection. She also danced very impressively to a couple of numbers. Patsy Reid played a five string fiddle for which she is justly famous, as well as a normal fiddle and cello, and together with Paul Tracey's guitar they offered both great accompaniment and excellent solo performances of strathspeys and reels.
