Defibrillation training is well worth attending

The first defibrillation course was a resounding success. The course was full and we all learnt the history of the Automated External Difibrillator (AED to the newly wise) and how to use it. The practical exercises were, as always, the highlight and Annie, the dummy, took our manhandling stoically. Any slight disappointment felt because we wouldn't be enacting the dramatic scenes from ER or Casualty was outweighed by our relief at how foolproof the system is.

Every question was answered and everyone left with a clear sense of what has to be done and the confidence to do it. A very worthwhile couple of hours. Why not come to the next course and learn how to save a life?
