Domesday Book 1986

In 1986 the BBC produced an electronic Domesday Book in a bid to provide a comprehensive image of Britain at the time.
The completed project was released in 1986 to celebrate the 900th anniversary of the 1086 Domesday Book.

Lismore School participated in the project.

The teacher at the time was Mrs Willis and there were six children in the school.

25 years on the BBC are going to repeat the exercise.

To illustrate the project the BBC would like to visit Lismore and hopefully find some of the people who were involved in the original project.

Were you involved? If so please either contact the website or contact David Gloag at the Heritage Centre.
