Nativity with Carols

The eight pupils of Lismore Primary school treated islanders to an entertaining and original nativity story which they had scripted themselves. Most of them played multiple parts leaving the audience with the impression that they were a much larger troupe. Directed by head teacher Catherine Davies and with pianist Anne Livingstone accompanying the carols on the piano.  The costumes were imaginative and the cast were word perfect.

Before the performance Catherine Davies presented the school’s Catering Manager, Hazel MacCormick, with a gift in thanks for the wonderful Christmas meal she cooked on 15 December for the children, parents, staff, and guests, thirty one in all, despite the school having no water at the time.
After the play mince pies and tea were served.
