Craft Fair

The talent of Lismoreís crafters was once again on display for early Christmas shopping at the  second annual Craft Fair. The many stalls offered such a great  variety that it was sometimes difficult to make choices. The primary children had made cards and tree decorations. Produce ranged from  highland beef  through to home made sweets, including delicious chocolates, selling alongside ready meals, preserves and home baking including Christmas cakes. Crafted bags, jewellery, cards, books, hats, scarves all attested to the depth of both talent and the islandís entrepreneurial spirit. And, in particular, it was good to see, how many of the islandís younger people, from both the primary and secondary schools were running stalls full of their crafts. For the weary shopper there was soup and teas and thanks to Katy Crossant who organised and opened the fair.
