Car Wash Cafe

Saturday 13th March saw the children, parents, staff and friends of Lismore Primary School run a Car Wash Cafe at Lismore Hall. People brought their cars to be washed and had some refreshments in the hall while they waited for their cars to be hosed down by the fire brigade, power washed by John and attacked from all sides by children and adults wielding buckets, sponges, cloths and brushes!

It was a great community event and the children all had a great day. The cars all left spotless - some people didn't even recognise their cars when they came out of the hall!

We washed 31 cars, pick ups and vans in total and raised 350! The money raised will be split evenly between the Haiti disaster fund and towards buying a new playhouse for the school playground.

The School and Parent Council would like to say a huge thank you to the Lismore Fire Brigade, all the helpers on the day, everyone who came with their cars and to everyone who has given us a donation - it is greatly appreciated.

It is clear from the photos that everyone worked had and really enjoyed themselves.
