Children's Easter Party
The Parent Council of Lismore Primary
School held a Children's Easter Party at Lismore Hall on Saturday 3rd
April. The fun began at 3 o'clock when the children arrived and were met
with a huge display of yummy Easter eggs. Every child was given a
voucher for a free Easter egg to be collected from the egg table at the
end of the party.
The fun continued with Hazel and her
assistants helping the children (and adults!) decorate eggs (kindly
donated by Anne and Mary's hens!) Our minister Rev Dr Roderick Campbell
had the daunting task of judging the best decorated eggs and he praised
the inventiveness and artistry that had gone into all the eggs.
He found the task a difficult one but in the end he picked some worthy
winners - including Gilly who was very pleased with her prize!
Denise and Sarah did some fantastic face
painting on the kids and we had everything from Easter bunnies to
butterflies to monsters!
Music for the party was provided by Yorick
on the hall's new PA system and Mary and Lorraine ran some fun games for
the kids. These included pass the Easter parcel, the bunny hop and
musical bunnies!
Tea, juice and yummy snacks was served up by
Anna and her helpers.
The party ended with a pinata filled with
sweets and toys which scattered around the hall and the children had a
great time seeking all the goodies out!
33 children came to the party and they all
left happily around 5pm clutching an Easter Egg to devour later!
The Parent Council would like to say a huge
thank to everyone who came, to all our helpers and to Roderick and Sue.
