Charity Walk
The Last Chance Foundation held a ten mile charity walk on
Lismore on what was later described as the hottest May day since records began.
The Foundation is a registered charity run by Steve and Christina Cass working
with veterinary surgeries, rescue kennels and dog wardens and the general public
to rescue healthy dogs which have behavioural problems. The foundation believes
that “any dog can be rehabilitated, using natural methods, involving calm
assertive leadership with clear rules and kindness."
Clients and friends of the foundation - human and canine – met at Achnacroich
and walked along the coast to the Broch then to Castle Coeffin and, after
refreshment at the Café, the group went round Salen and back to the Oban ferry.
Lismore was at its sparkling best and everyone was grateful for the support
vehicle which met the walkers at various points providing necessary water and
refreshments.
