A Great Contribution

Lismore Island, Argyll, Scotland - Margaret's Birthday

Members of the Comann Eachdraidh gathered recently to celebrate the eightieth birthday of Margaret MacDonald and to acknowledge her enormous contribution to the setting up of the Society and the creation of the now much praised award winning Museum complex, Ionad Naomh Moluag. From the start Margaret worked very hard as the Secretary and her achievement, and that of the other founders, cannot be overstated. Indeed she is still working hard in the museum shop where the newly installed cash register has meant another steep learning curve for her and all the other dedicated volunteers who gathered to acknowledge her. As a tribute she was invited to cut her 80th birthday cake in the shape of a cash register.

Two other longstanding and loyal volunteers, Kathy Kelly and Betty Culver, were presented with chocolates and flowers in recognition of their long service.
