Following the Maritime Tradition

Diarmid and Duncan at a younger age

Congratulations are due to two young Lismore men who have recently graduated with a Degree (FdSc) in Marine Operations, keeping up the maritime tradition of the Island.

Duncan MacLean, son of Alison and the late Donald, attended the Nautical College in Fleetwood.
Duncan was sponsored through his cadetship by Anglo Eastern Shipping and is now continuing his career with them as a third officer.

Duncan and Diarmid have always been close pals, being the only two boys in their class throughout their time at Lismore Primary School and sharing a room in the hostel while attending Oban High School.  Perhaps not such a coincidence that they have chosen the same career path.
