Easter Party

On Friday 10th April the Parent Council of Lismore Primary School held an Easter Party and Disco in Lismore Public Hall.
The party was a great success and we had a fantastic 52 children at the party!
As they entered children got an Easter egg stamped onto the back of their hands and were given a voucher for a free packet of crisps and a juice. Children were also given a voucher for a surprise from the Easter bunny!
The party started with Easter egg decorating - all the children decorated a polystyrene or a real boiled egg with their favourite designs, paint, glitter etc...  The Rev. Dr. Roderick Campbell came to judge the best egg competition which was very difficult as he thought they were all wonderful! We had two brilliant winners on the night who's eggs were very special.

We then had two pinatas filled with sweets and the children had a great time pulling the ribbons at the bottom to see if any sweets would fall out - what fun the children had when all the sweets fell out and scattered everywhere!

We also had a surprise for one young lad who recently celebrated his 6th birthday. His mum brought out a beautiful footballer's cake and everyone sang Happy Birthday before we all tucked into a piece of his yummy cake with a cup of tea.
We ran a tuck shop too and this proved to be very popular with the children. After this we had a fabulous disco with Yorick our DJ playing funky music and we had disco lights and a smoke machine. The children danced and played till 9pm and the surprise Easter bunny voucher was for an Easter egg or a creme egg to take home!

The parent council would like to thank everyone who helped to organise the party and who helped out on the night, Rev. Dr. Campbell for coming to judge our egg competition, Donnie and Anne and their hens for their eggs, Jennifer for the creme eggs and all the families who brought their children along making it a fun and brilliant night!
