Car Boot Sale 7th December 2008

The Primary School held a Car Boot Sale on Sunday 7th December.

The weather was not very favourable but this did not deter everyone having an excellent day.

Frances has sent in the following report:

All I can say is it was great fun, lovely food.

I spent all my money and Charlie came to the rescue so we could eat more.

There were toys and books and gorgeous lasagne from Fay which I managed for tea last night, even after all the amazing cakes we had already scoffed.

I got yet another mirror to add to my collection, cheers Pauline, it takes 3 inches off even in a bright light so was worth every penny especially after all that food!!

There were loads of raffle prizes, some lovely bookmarks which had been made by the school kids and I had a read of their newsletter which was great.

Laura thanked Lorraine for organising it and all the Mums and Dads who worked hard in the background.

Definitely fun for all the family.

From the parent council:

Lismore Primary School Parent Council would like to thank everyone who came to the Car Boot Sale on Sunday 7th December. It really was a great day. We would like to say a huge big thank you to all the car booters who came along with all their treasures for their stalls. Also a huge big thank you to all the local people, groups and businesses who donated prizes to our raffle - it was a fantastic raffle and alone it raised 122! In total we raised a wonderful 219.27 which will be going towards buying new equipment for our much loved play park beside the school. The children have their eye on a basket swing and a climbing frame and this is the start of us helping them with their dream of getting new things for the play park to go alongside the much loved and much used equipment already there.
