Community Trust Consultation

26 January 2008

The working group for the proposed Lismore Community Trust invited islanders to give their views on a number of aspects of island life viz housing, the environment, population, infrastructure, health and social welfare, business and employment and what residents and liked and disliked about the place. An afternoon and an evening meeting were held to give as many as possible the chance to have their say. Mary Walker and Amanda Curry introduced the group, Mary reporting on progress so far and Amanda on what any future process would involve. It was a thorough exercise with great enthusiasm in the hall as well as many splendid and very practicable suggestions.
