26 June 2007

After visiting Holyrood with the school and becoming the Scottish Parliament's millionth visitor (as reported in these pages), Eilidh Willis has now been to meet the queen at the official opening of the third session of the Scottish Parliament.

Eilidh, who is off to Oban High after the holidays, said the whole day had been brilliant but meeting the queen was the best part particularly as she was one of the few lucky ones to do so. She also met Sir  David Steele.

Afterwards Eilidh with her parents Mark and Denise enjoyed the entertainment laid on in the grounds which including listening to the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
