Children Fund Raise

27 March 2006

Lismore Primary schoolchildren invited the islanders to a tea and baking afternoon to raise money to buy dancing shoes for their Scottish Country Dancing. They raised 91 by treating us to some of their excellent baking and dancing, and then showing us round the school where we saw their latest power point presentations as well as the work done in hobbies club, and art and crafts. Outside we were invited to try new age curling which was very popular with the babies. Ann Livingstone teaches country dancing once a week and they are all so keen they are planning to go for their individual medal tests run by the Royal Scottish Country Dancing Society and before that they will dance in the Argyll and the Islands Music and Dance Festival.
