Another great Lismore School Fete

14th August 2003

The crowds turned out for the fete again this year, the weather was great and the highlight was the auctioning of a model Caledonian MacBrayne ferry which raised £68 alone with head teacher Freda MacGregor playing the bidders like an expert.

But before that there were many ways to part money from punter from guessing the number of raisins in Neil Carmichaelís delicious looking cake to throwing your money nearest to a whisky bottle, tossing a welly or lucky dipping to name a few.

Normaís ice creams were popular with all ages and Iris and her team served teas, coffees and home baking non stop.

Too many people to mention worked very hard to make the day a success raising over £1000 for school funds.
