A candlelit supper hosted by Beth Campbell featured music from Iain Thomson and Marc Duff with Ann Duggan and Rob Hines. Known as the singing shepherd, Iain's songs and tunes are varied but clearly folk flavoured and of the very moving school of the Scottish ballad tradition. Lismore heard him with Marc Duff, a co-founder of Capercaillie, who went solo in 1995 and now plays whistles, Bodhran, bouzouki, recorder and wind synthesizer. There was great enthusiasm for the classy guitar playing of Rob Hines and the singing of Ann Duggan which had elements of blues in her country style. Altogether a very varied and enjoyable evening.
