Promote energy saving and reduce fuel poverty on the island

Lismore Community Council, working with the Lismore Community Trust Interim Board, recently applied for funding from the Climate Challenge Fund, for an energy project on Lismore. Earlier this year we heard that our bid was successful and we have been awarded £46,800 to be spent by the end of March 2011. |

About the Lismore Energy Project The Lismore community needs to
reduce its carbon footprint (by 42% by 2020 and 50% by 2050) and

need for energy efficiency and renewable projects in community
consultation days Ø Build capacity and resilience within the community

Provide energy educational information and raise the awareness of

identify the barriers to individuals becoming actively involved in
