Ian Christie's May 2010 album.

Ian was visiting Oban and surrounding areas in May 2010. He says

Being a great lover of the West of Scotland. I'd previously seen Lismore lighthouse from the Mull ferry and admired the wonderful views, and decided that Lismore was well worth a visit. I travelled from Port Appin and loved the scene as people disembarked with their bikes from the ferry. The red phone box by the ferry station reminded me of the many scenes in the great film LOCAL HERO where villagers in a fictitious W Scottish village use a red booth by the quayside. And the view up Loch Linnhe struck me as a tremendous sea- and landscape, seen from the top of the hills at the northern end of Lismore. I walked on along the coast and took the photo of the croft roof on the way to one of the brochs. On the way back to Port Appin I took this picture of the ferry pilot's dog, a benign presence as we chugged to and from the mainland.
