Despite the relatively small size of the island ( 2300 Hectares ),  Lismore has a fairly good range of wildlife for the visitor to enjoy. This is particularly true of the flora which includes many lime tolerant species not found on the adjacent mainland.  The links below lead to lists which have been compiled by residents and are not necessarily complete. Photos of some of the species have also been included ( click on the small pics)  --- as you will see, we currently don't have a resident bird photographer!
