Mink Escaped from nearby farm; have almost rid the island of rats, but also taken a severe toll of ground-nesting birds and poultry

Otter dòbhran Not quite 'available to order', but numerous and frequently seen.
Rat, brown radan,rodan  Very numerous until about 1980; see Mink.
Seal, common ròn Very numerous Hedgehog image
Seal, grey Common
Pipistrelle,common Only bat species recorded on the island.
Deer, red Not resident on the island -- have been known to swim over from mainland.
Shrew, common teladarna
Vole buaidh-iomlan Very numerous, to the benefit of owls and other raptors
Weasel neas,nios Rarely seen now; numbers unknown

Note:- Badger, Fox and Rabbit are not found on Lismore.
